Card Binder Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 28, 2026
In short: Card Binder stores your account email, your card collection and your card photos so the app can work. Card photos are sent to an AI service to identify the card. We don't sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps or websites. You can delete your account and all your data from inside the app at any time.
Who we are
Card Binder is a mobile app for organising trading card collections, made by Amphoteb LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. If you have any questions, contact us at privacy@heymon.gg.
Information we collect
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Account details: your email address and password (stored only in hashed form; we can't see it). | To create your account, sign you in, and send sign-up and password-reset codes. |
| Your collection: card details you save or edit (game, name, set, number, rarity, language, condition, grade and certification number, copies, notes) and the card's estimated price. | This is the app's core purpose: to keep and show your collection. |
| Card photos you take or upload. | To identify the card and show it in your collection. Photos are stored privately and only you can see them. |
| Scan records: the date of each AI card scan and its processing size and cost. | To apply the monthly free-scan limit and to understand our running costs. |
| eBay connection (only if you connect eBay): your eBay user ID and username, the access tokens eBay gives us, your ship-from ZIP code, the shipping/payment/return policies you choose, and details of listings you create through the app (title, price, quantity, status, number sold). | To create, update, end and track eBay listings for you. |
We do not collect your location, contacts, advertising ID or device identifiers, and the app contains no advertising or analytics trackers. The app asks for access to your camera and photos only when you choose to add a card, and only uses the photo you pick.
How your information is shared
We share information only with the service providers that make the app work, and only what each one needs:
- Supabase hosts our database, sign-in system and photo storage. Your data is protected so that each account can only access its own records.
- Anthropic (Claude AI) receives the photo you scan, to identify the card and find its edges. It doesn't receive your email or other account details. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, data sent through its API is not used to train its models.
- Card price databases (TCGdex, Scryfall and YGOPRODeck) receive the card's name, set and number to look up a market price. No personal information is sent.
- Resend delivers our emails (sign-up and password-reset codes) and so receives your email address.
- eBay, only if you connect your eBay account: listing details and your card photo are sent to eBay to create your listings, under eBay's privacy notice.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of our users or the integrity of the service.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and collection for as long as you have an account. When you delete a card, its photo is deleted too. When you delete your account, we delete your account, collection, photos, scan records and eBay connection, and end any live eBay listings created through the app. Copies in routine backups are removed as those backups expire.
Deleting your account
In the app, open Collection → ⋮ menu → Delete account and confirm. Deletion is immediate and permanent. If you can no longer use the app, email privacy@heymon.gg from your account's email address and we'll delete it for you.
Your choices and rights
- View, edit and delete your cards and photos at any time in the app.
- Disconnect eBay at any time (eBay → Settings), which removes the eBay tokens we hold.
- Delete your account and all associated data, as described above.
- Depending on where you live (for example California, the UK or the EU), you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to make a request; we will respond within the time required by law.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are stored hashed, your photos are kept in private storage, and keys for third-party services stay on our servers and are never placed in the app. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
Amphoteb LLC makes the safety of children our highest priority.
Card Binder is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has created an account, contact us at privacy@heymon.gg and we will promptly delete the account and all of its information.
Where your data is processed
Our service providers may process and store information in the United States and other countries. Where required, they protect it with appropriate safeguards.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we'll let you know in the app or by email.
