Card Binder Terms of Use
Last updated: October 28, 2026
In short: Card Binder helps you catalogue your trading cards. Card identifications and prices come from AI and public price data, so they are estimates: check them before you buy, sell or insure a card. Your photos stay yours. If you sell on eBay through the app, the sale is between you and your buyer under eBay's rules.
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Amphoteb LLC ("we", "us") for your use of the Card Binder app and related services ("Card Binder"). By creating an account or using Card Binder you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Card Binder. By creating an account you confirm that you are 18 or older.
- Give a valid email address and keep your password secret. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app (Collection → ⋮ menu → Delete account).
3. Your content
The photos you take and the details you enter ("your content") belong to you. You give us permission to store, process and display your content only to run Card Binder for you: for example to identify cards, show your collection, look up prices, and create eBay listings you ask for. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account (apart from copies in backups that expire on their own schedule).
Only upload photos you have the right to use, and nothing illegal, offensive or that isn't a trading card collection.
4. Estimates, not guarantees
- Card identification is done by AI and can be wrong: the name, set, number, rarity, grade or condition may need correcting. Always review the details before you save or list a card.
- Prices are estimates drawn from public market data and may be out of date or for a different printing or condition. They are not appraisals. Prices shown for graded cards are for ungraded copies.
- Don't rely on Card Binder alone for buying, selling, insurance or tax decisions.
5. Selling on eBay
If you connect your eBay account, Card Binder creates and manages listings on your behalf, using the details, price and policies you choose. You are the seller: you are responsible for your listings being accurate, for shipping, returns and any taxes, and for following eBay's User Agreement and policies. We are not a party to any sale and are not responsible for buyers, payments or eBay's decisions. You can disconnect eBay at any time.
6. Free and paid features
Card Binder is free to use with a limited number of AI card scans each month. We may offer paid features ("Pro") in the future; their price and terms will be shown before you buy, and subscriptions are billed and managed through your app store under its terms, including cancellation and refunds. We may change, add or remove features and limits over time.
7. Acceptable use
Don't misuse Card Binder. For example, don't:
- try to get around the scan limits, access other people's data, or break or overload our systems;
- use automated tools to create accounts or use the service;
- use Card Binder for anything unlawful, including selling counterfeit cards.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
8. Trademarks
Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Disney Lorcana, One Piece and other game and company names are trademarks of their respective owners. Card Binder is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by them, or by eBay or any grading company. Card Binder's name, logo and app are ours.
9. Third-party services
Card Binder relies on other companies (such as Supabase, Anthropic, Resend, eBay and public card price databases), described in our Privacy Policy. We're not responsible for their services or availability.
10. Disclaimers
Card Binder is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we make no warranties of any kind, including that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that identifications and prices are accurate. Keep your own records of valuable cards.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Amphoteb LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, sales or data, arising from your use of Card Binder. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
12. Ending
You can stop using Card Binder and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end the service, or your access, for example if you break these terms, with notice where reasonable. Sections 4, 5, 8, 10, 11 and 13 continue after your use ends.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Card Binder after a change means you accept the updated terms.
